Introduction: Scientific Facts in Quran

First of all we need to understand what Quran is. Is Quran a science book or something else? First of all let us understand what Quran is.

The Quran is neither a book of science nor an example of anything else, nor of psychology, nor of philosophy, nor of biology, and there are many other sciences in the same manner. Quran is not a book on any of these things.

The Big Bang Theory in Quran

One of the most significant scientific theories stated in the Quran is the hypothesis of the universe’s beginning. It was thought that the cosmos had always existed and had no creator until a century ago. However, Albert Einstein disproved this notion when he proposed the theory that the cosmos is an expanding force that is inflating like a balloon during his study of field equations. Subsequently, this growth had to have started from an initial dense location, as suggested by a Belgian clergyman and mathematician.

This has been mentioned in the Holy Quran centuries ago.

The mention of Big Bang in the Quran is found in Surah 21 verse 30. Which Allah (swt) says. “Do the disbelievers not realize that the heavens and earth were ˹once˺ one mass then We split them apart? And We created from water every living thing. Will they not then believe?” It is not possible to deny the existence of this Quranic verse and the theory of the big bang. A book like this, which was introduced to the Arabs 1400 years ago, could not be written in this true way since Muhammad (saw) had not yet written it.

The Expanding Universe

The verse that we find in the Quran about the Expanding Universe is (Surah Adh-Dhariyat-Surah No. 51 Ayat No. 47) in which Allah (SWT) says.

“We built the universe with ˹great˺ might, and We are certainly expanding ˹it˺.”

is ayat main lafz مُوسِعُونَ ka sahi tarjuma “phaila rahe hain” banta hai aur yeh phailti hui kainaat ki taraf ishara hai.

Moonlight is Reflected Light

Moon Light ke baare main Quran jo Ayat milti hai woh Surah Furqaan Ayat No. 61 hai. Jis main Allah (swt) farmata hai.

“Badi barkat wala hai woh jis ne Aasmaan main burj banaye aur usmay aaftab banaya aur munawwar mehtaab bhi.”
